The food here is delicious, and it's super convenient that the place is open late. I had a vegetarian tacucho, which was a burrito filled with vegetables, beans, avocado, cheese, salsa verde, and plantains. When dining in, you are also given some sauces on the side. The tacucho had plenty of flavor and just the right amount of heat on its own from the variety of ingredients inside, but paired nicely with the chimichurri, nata, and the other creamy sauce. Great for a quick, inexpensive bite.
My go to in the area love the arepa paisa always a go to! The staff is super friendly!
I tried this yesterday and got the patacon sandwich with chorizo. It was plentiful. Honestly after eating this I was so full. I like the hearty sandwich but I will try the BLA or another one steak or pulled pork patacon sandwich next time. I got my sandwich to go. Maybe next time I will dine in. But full disclosure the establishment is small but there is dining in stations for parties no more than 2. I would say at most 3 tables for 3 couples. The kitchen takes over most of the space. Bring your patience because the cook is also the cashier as well as everything else. I will be back again. The food, the ease of placing an order and the kindness of the staff/owner was great. P.S. I met a young lady who had great things to say and mentioned they made the best patacon sandwiches in the NYC and their green sauce was everything. Green sauce was good but nothing like Peruvian green sauce but it was edible. I'll come back just to try the rest of the menu.
Excellent takeout lunch and very friendly lady behind the counter. The Cuban arepa (without cheese) is delicious, maybe a touch large on portion size. The juicy pulled pork is the star of the dish. Definitely recommended. Yelp really needs half-stars. Patacon Pisao is a solid 4 1/2 stars.
Just found out there's a Venezuelan fast food spot walking distance from my new apartment and I am grateful. Made the right choice of a cachapa. The cherry juice could have been more cherry but what ever it was mixed with it was still yummy. Location is tiny with seating for about 4-5. Clean with hard working staff.
Really good arepas and cachapas. Very generous with the filling, and the paisa cachapas had the perfect mixture of sauces. Yuca bar fries were crispy and we loved the toppings. The dining area itself is a bit small, with only 3-4 tables but nicely decorated. Service was super quick and friendly!
Came here last weekend for the first time. I've never noticed this place, it's pretty small so it's easy to miss, but I am glad I found it. This is carry out only, so no dine-in and no bathroom. The staff member wasn't too helpful in helping me decide what to order, they seemed unfamiliar with the menu. But at the end I was able to figure out what I want. I got a cubano and the cheese sticks that so many people seemed to be talking about. I thought the patacon was flavorful. Overall everything was very filling, which is a plus plus for me!
This is one of the places that we have to stop by whenever we are in the area. We've been here multiple times, and it's usually not too busy. Our go-to is the cubano patacon and the Tequenos (fried breaded cheese sticks). The cubano patacon is flavorful and this thing is loaded! I love the cheese stick, mainly because anything with cheese is good, but I love how soft the outer layer is also. Dip it in the green sauce they give. Perfection. Service wise, it really depends, some staff doesn't seem like they want to be there at all, and others are friendly.
In short, loved the experience. Great Venezuelan vibe and street food for happy drunks. With a few more details, The store is a bit small so come off hours if you'd like to sit. The vibe is nice. Great music. Was very clean and staff was very friendly. The service took a minute but when I got it I understood why. Patacon was so hot and so fresh. I got the Patacon Pabellon. Was soo bomb. Plantain sandwiches should be more popular.
